Payments are final once made.
When you register and pay for a game through SquarePlay, your payment is processed immediately and transferred to the game organizer's Stripe account. Because of this, refunds are not provided after a successful payment, except in the case described below.
Exception — Game Cancellation
If the game organizer cancels a game, all paid players receive a full refund automatically. The refund is processed via Stripe and returned to the original payment method. Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. No action is required from the player.

SquarePlay is a payment collection platform for sports and recreational game organizers. Organizers create games, set a price per player and a maximum number of spots, and share a join link with their players.
Players use the join link to register by providing their name, email address, and phone number, and pay securely via Stripe. Spots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the maximum number of registered players is reached, the join link closes automatically and no further registrations are accepted.
SquarePlay does not manually add or manage players on behalf of organizers. The organizer is solely responsible for the game they create and for communicating with their players.
SquarePlay charges a 10% platform fee on each payment collected through the platform. This fee is deducted automatically at the time of payment.
There are no monthly fees, setup fees, or hidden charges. You are only charged when a payment is successfully collected. The organizer keeps 90% of every payment; SquarePlay retains 10%.
Standard Stripe payment processing fees may also apply and are included within the platform fee structure.
As a game organizer using SquarePlay, you agree to:
SquarePlay reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the platform, including collecting payments for events that do not take place without issuing refunds.
We collect the minimum data required to operate the platform:
Player information is associated with the game organizer's account and is used solely to facilitate game registration and payment. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to process payments (Stripe) or as required by law.
Payment card data is never stored on SquarePlay's servers. All card data is handled exclusively by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected].
All payments on SquarePlay are processed by Stripe, a globally trusted payment platform. SquarePlay never stores or processes credit or debit card numbers directly.
Organizers receive payments into a Stripe Express account, which requires identity verification and banking details to be provided directly to Stripe. SquarePlay does not have access to organizer banking information.

SquarePlay may update these policies from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policies.
